Genshin Impact generates $3 billion in revenue on mobile devices alone

Analytics firm SensorTower has released earnings figures for action-adventure RPG Genshin Impact. It became known that only the mobile version brought its creators over $3 billion. Since the game was also released on PC, PS4 and PS5, the overall result should be even higher.

HoYoverse earned its first billion on Genshin Impact 171 days after the release, and it took another 195 days for the second billion. 185 days after that, the revenue was $3 billion. In other words, the game brings developers a billion every six months, which makes it the most successful game on mobile devices.

In the first quarter of 2022, Genshin Impact was also in first place in terms of revenue, which amounted to $567 million. The MMORPG Lineage W was far behind in second place with $236 million.
