To receive the quest Search for the source of the strange voice, teleport to Chinju Forest. Walk forward a little and it will start automatically. If the quest does not start, then wander around the forest for a bit: it is accepted after the Traveler and Paimon hear some strange sound.

In order to find the source of the voice, you need to climb up the stone stairs with red gates. On the way you will meet small tanuki. After you climb the stairs, the voice will tell you to go towards the statue.

Turn left where you will see a huge statue of a tanuki and monsters near it.

As soon as the quest changes to "Defeat the hilichurls", a marker will appear pointing to the right place.

Fight the monsters and talk to the owner of the strange voice, who introduces himself as Ioroi.
